[May 17; Strange Feeling]

This third solo album from Everything But The Girl frontwoman Tracey Thorn – the follow-up to 2007’s well-received Out Of The Woods – was first announced on Twitter last month. Produced by Ewan Pearson, Love & Its Opposite was recorded in Berlin and London with an impressive supporting cast that includes members of Hot Chip and The Invisible, Cortney Tidwell and Jens Lekman, who duets on a cover of Lee Hazlewood’s ‘Come On Home To Me’. The only other cover among the ten tracks is Tracey’s version of The Unbending Trees’ ‘You Are A Lover’.
