Tracey Thorn took fifteen years to make a follow-up to her 1982 solo album A Distant Shore, but fans will have only had to wait a mere three for her upcoming release, Love & Its Opposite, when it hits the shops mid-May. Announced earlier today on Twitter, the album was recorded in Berlin and London and produced by Ewan Pearson, who assisted on some of the songs from 2007’s Out Of The Woods; Tracey’s husband and Everything But The Girl bandmate Ben Watt will release the album in the UK through his own Strange Feeling imprint.

Alongside eight new original tracks, the album features two covers – Lee Hazlewood’s ‘Come On Home To Me’ and ‘You Are A Love’ by The Unbending Trees. For more info on the album, stay tuned to Tracey’s Twitter feed.
