170809_teganandsaraThirteen songs make the final cut

A month closer to the release date of their sixth studio album Sainthood, Tegan & Sara have added to the juicy details they spilled to Under The Radar magazine back in July with a full tracklisting and artwork posted on their website. The Quin sisters have been working with photographer Pamela Littky and their regular art director Emy Storey on the concept for the sleeve, which shows Tegan’s head poking through a hole cut in some background scenery, and looking rather saintlike, while Sara appears to lean against the prop gazing wistfully into the left middle distance. It’s pretty plain and doesn’t immediately scream ‘album cover’, but hey, what do we know? Well, this: it’s the first time their faces have appeared on the album sleeve since 2002’s If It Was You, and that they really don’t look like two people about to celebrate their 29th birthday.  The album, released on October 27th in North America, features 13 songs whittled down from a whopping 51 written since the last album. Expect lots of B-sides and bonus tracks!
