190809_georgepringleNew single out this week

GarageBand devotee George Pringle releases her long-awaited debut album Salon des Refusés through her own label Deth To Fals Metal Records on September 7th, nearly three years after she first emerged from behind her laptop with demos of her dense, spoken-word song-essays, line after offbeat line of sometimes sardonic, sometimes revealing lyrics over skittery electronica. These days George is singing a bit more than she used to, but the songs still sound like no one else. Early favourites like ‘Fellini For Prime Minister’ and ‘Carte Postale’ have been spit shined so that they can stand shoulder to shoulder with newer material like the brilliant ‘Sparkomatic Miami’ and ‘Bonjour Tristesse’. First single ‘Physical Education (Part 1)’ was released this week and is available from all good digital retailers with an instrumental version as the B-side.

George will be holding a launch party for Salon des Refusés at The Social in London on September 2nd. Hear four tracks from the album over on Myspace.
