Philadelphian quartet A Sunny Day In Glasgow will release their second album Ashes Grammar on September 15th through Brooklyn-based label Mis Ojos Discos. Fronted by twin sisters Robin and Lauren Daniels, the band’s 2007 releases Scribble Mural Comic Journal and the Tout New Age EP marked them out as an ambitious bunch with enough mad ideas to keep us on our toes. Recorded at a dance studio in a small New Jersey town and coming in at a whopping 22 tracks, Ashes Grammar will be made available to a lucky few – well, 250 to be exact – as a covetable double LP set with one cream slab of vinyl and one navy blue. Oh, and completely different artwork (pictured below right), while the rest of us will have to make do with CD or downloads. Anyone who orders the vinyl will get free downloads with it. Pitchfork report that the first track, ‘Magna For Annie, Josh & Robin’, is an homage to Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, but that’s all we know other than the tracklist below.
