New single and tour announced for later this month

With rave reviews and a BBC 6Music Single Of The Week accolade for their debut UK 7″ ‘Marble Gods’ / ‘Big Waves’ back in March, the Anna Eklund-fronted Swedish indie-pop quintet Sad Day For Puppets are gearing up for the UK release of their album Unknown Colors [review] on June 1st through shoegaze worshippers Sonic Cathedral. Originally released in Sweden last October, the UK edition will feature revised artwork and two new bonus tracks, ‘When You Tell Me That You Love Me’ (sadly not a Diana Ross cover) and ‘Saddest Cloud’. The album will be preceded by a clutch of UK tour dates to promote the band’s new single, ‘Cherry Blossom’, out on May 18th. The band will make an instore appearance at Rough Trade East the same day.
